For the NES Bereavement Workshop, 24 November 2022. Workshop
Creating a humanities resource bank for bereavement – pointing to writing, poems, art and movies
Eleri Williams and Neil Turner designed and presented this session during the symposium.
People often resort to writing, music, art, poems, video or movies to help them with bereavement. So do staff to help cope with the stress of our jobs. Can we pool resources to help? The Scottish Medical Humanities site tries to do this. More examples: scottishmedicalhumanities.org/human/category/death
We used our post about Ian Rankin’s description of bereavement as an advance example.
